I spent 12 months in Nova Scotia and finished what I had to do and went back West. I gathered that there was much discontent about a lot of things and that there have been socioeconomic 'issues' going on for a long time. This is a bitch because it is dumb how the Federal Government seemingly won't lend a hand to this decent place. I mean, why not? The potential is obviously there to been one of Canada's greatest places. It could be a progressive ocean-side metropolis with more funding, less political bias(which I gathered has much to do with old social beefs and prejudices going back two hundred years and more!-grow up and forget what daddy thought, you're supposed to be leaders!) and more tangible city-planning. There has to be an embrace of the future from both the public and government so that awesome city can shine even more! Federal Gov: You should be ashamed of yourselves too! —Justice just-cause...

I wish the the bikers would respect our community, its seem like they have to much to prove to the right and left sides of the street, we understand you love the way your harley sounds but we don't, not even the girls your trying to impress. —A person trying to relax

Thanks for stealing the joint I had near the Centennial Pool on Friday. It was a beautiful day, I had a headache and getting stoned would have been nice. I had to go inside the cop-shop and didn't feel like bringing illegal drugs with me so I hid it outside for 10 minutes. You must have been watching me. You dirty thief. Karma is a bitch. Watch out. —Mayor A Wanna

I can't believe public Internet shaming has now become a thing. People who shame others think they’re so righteous. What's wrong with just telling the person to shut their mouth, or piss off? Why video them just to ruin their lives? Internet shaming is morally wrong, and equally as bad as online bullying. I hope this trend comes to an end soon. It is a form of social control, to keep us acting "properly" in public. Public shaming should become illegal ASAP. Please do yourself a favour and put your cell phone cameras away. It's self-destructive. —Not interested in being shamed into submission

To the homeless man on Spring Garden this morning who looked at me and said "Daaaaamn, I'd bend you over for sure," and then laughed: you don't need change—you need manners. You're lucky I didn't clock you upside the head. —One Pissed Off Chick

Dear The Coast, I just moved here so please excuse me if I don't know what I'm talking about (I probably shouldn't take you so seriously), but your articles seem pretty politically biased. Yes, put out the facts, but don't print opinions that only show one side of the political spectrum. That's Fox New's shtick and that is not showing journalistic integrity. Journalistic integrity is a thing still, right? Is The Coast just for opinions and stupid questions with only one answer? If it is, I'm sorry. I'm wrong. Like I said, I'm new here, but come on, do better. I also want to say, the Liberals aren't bad, incompetent or evil. They just have a different political viewpoint than some people, including me. —Do Better Journalism

I've bitched this before and I'll bitch it again... the money you are paying your cashier for you items goes into his or her hands, not tossed on the counter like they're a dog begging for scraps or set down in front of you so that they have to reach two feet away and pick it up like a servant. You don't throw your bills around the counter like the maid will pick it up. Thank you for the business and everything, but there's no need to dehumanize the person working because you're the almighty customer. You're not 10 years old and I'm not your mother. Put the money in my effing hands as I have the courtesy to do for you, even after you've tossed it to the other side of the counter like throwing a bone to a dog. COME ON PEOPLE BASIC HUMAN INTERACTION SKILLS. —I swear I'll throw it out the door next time you throw it 3ft from me.

The restaurant that thinks it's a rock band tends to have a kitchen that attacks "roadies". Get professional. —Guess who.

Why does someone who supports local, buys organic products, cares about the environment, and smokes pot occasionally termed a "hipster", "eco-hipster", "hippie", [input others]? Can't a regular Joe care about the same things without risking such a title? —Joe

So there are a couple pizza places in town. One of them just recently raised their prices and the only thing worth buying there price-wise is a pepperoni pizza. So usually I order elsewhere. No big deal. Anyway, placed an order last night for an extra large pepperoni pizza for 16.00. Sounds like a good deal right? Except when the delivery guy shows up and I pay the guy (15% tip included), it is 29 dollars. Almost double there price advertised. So, looks like I'll be sticking with the pizza place nearby who advertises lower prices than you, tells you how much you'll be charged before hanging up the phone and actually charges you what they advertise. And you wonder why some people don't give you a tip. —40 minutes or it's free.
