You make the days better and you're all the greatest ladies ever. I'm so glad we have our little community. Let's never part. xo

Yes, I hear you serenading your cat when I'm walking by your apartment door. You're not half bad. Guessing you're one of those crazy cat ladies, but the best kind. —More of a dog person but I get it ;)

It's time to wrap this up! Sign the papers, and pick up your stuff. Or, if you'd rather play chess, then bring over something delicious to eat so that we don't have to talk. We'll work out our aggression by playing the game. —As you wish

To the girl who works at the basement where bargains are found that helped me figure out what colour the jackets I was looking at were and what scarf would go best with the one I finally picked - thanks for your help. You are a gem, were very helpful and funny - they are lucky to have you working for them. I'd love to buy you a milkshake sometime. —Sometimes dark blue looks like black.

Reflections, Halloween... You were a mime, I was Pretty Woman. We danced and laughed until someone poured beer from above. You decided to go, but said you don't have a phone, I hope that you sometimes check the internet... —pretty sad woman

For the record when you missed your bus on Friday I really wanted to pull over and give you a drive but that is not the type of relationship we have. Ours is more of an 'avoid eye contact and all communication' type of relationship but at least there is plenty of room for growth. Not sure where it might be but hopefully you were not too late for work. —a silent admirer

I was taking the number 1 bus from downtown around 4pm and I swear I saw an angel. She was tall, pale, very attractive with a sense of elegance wearing these blue pants. I might have been imagining it but I can almost recall her having a halo and emitting some sort of bright light. We sat parallel to each other in the back of the bus trading glances pretending not to notice each other. I was conscious of your presence and beauty the entire ride. Before I finally went to get off at my stop I wanted to say something to you but instead we just made eye contact and smiled. Maybe by some slim chance you might see this and it will brighten your day as much as you did mine.

I've been slowly falling in love with you since the day we met - since our store manager told me to "go help the new guy" because he was "too much of a perfectionist to fold a damn sweater". You're sweet, and smart, and kind. You make me smile and laugh at my phone in public. You never fail to drunk text me at 2am to ask if I'm "dt orrrrr?"
You're also inconveniently taken. But let's focus on the positives, yeah?
—Your smitten best friend.

Thanks for all those drivers who turn off their fog lights when it's raining or when the streets are wet. The less glare the better. —The streets are just a little safer...

I teased you about your beard and how it matched your plaid shirt at the L&B on Agricola last friday night. We talked about apples and the differences between Halifax and our hometowns. You thought I wanted the bartender....I'm just rusty at the flirting game. Gimme another chance? —the Gala fan
