Today was not our anniversary, it was not Valentine's day or my birthday. No, it was a day like any other... I sat at home in front of the computer doing school work and you had gone out to buy more lightbulbs. When I heard the door open I turned around and saw you standing there, a big smile on your face. You had in your hands a perfect little bouquet of sun flowers (my favourite flower). It was the sweetest thing any guy has ever done for me. You are so wonderful, never stop being you. —Hun Bun

After two hours in the waiting room together, I finally got up the nerve to talk to you. You were studying contracts for your law class and I was reading a book on performance art. Had I not just made plans to hang out with my friend on the phone, I would have suggested we did something when you had asked about it. I had my number written down to give to you when the nurses had us exchange examination rooms, but I ended up playing chicken. I hope we'll bump into each other again, hopefully under different circumstances. —I Won't Be Shy Next Time

In today's economic state, and supposed "democracy" a lot of people are feeling the pain, most of those who are pan-handling on Spring Garden are doing it because they are trying to survive. Yes there are some who use the change for drugs, but there are more who are trying to feed themselves and get through the day without going to bed hungry. If you don't have change, give them a smile, turning a blind eye is only avoiding the problem. Most people who receive a smile will be happier then if you were to just walk by and ignore them. Show some love to those who need it, and those who say they don't, love is something everyone needs, and everyone should have. —One Happy Lion Cub

To the cab driver who gave me a free ride back over the bridge when I had already cabbed to Dartmouth, and had to cab back to Halifax because I forgot my keys. You showed me there are still nice people in the world. —Charmed Customer

Sorry I didn't get to hear ya play, seriously Fu Manchu is some show, totally worth the audience of one. —Lu Machu

I miss driving out somewhere along the water and kissing you, in your car, for hours at a time. Remember the last time in PPPark? It felt so loving, so much caring in our closeness. You said you would come back that evening, but never even called. It's been a couple months now. I know you have some heavy anxiety and commitment "issues". You have someone here who wants to be there for you, and take care of you (as you take care of me too, when I need it). When we're together I feel the potential for something fulltime and amazing that we could do together. I only emailed you to let you know I hope you're okay. I'm very happy you're having a great go right now. You deserve it. I don't know how long it's going to last, but seeing your reply made me see how much I care for you. I would give anything to tell you, and hope you could finally accept my feelings for you (and you let yourself feel your feelings without anxiety or guilt), but I know the only way I can show you how much I care is to never cause you pressure, and not be in your life. Life's too short, Granola Girl. I hope the rest of yours is great. xoxo —Bye Guy

Not long returned from a two week vacation out in Halifax/Dartmouth and wish I hadn't had to leave. Fell in love with not only the place but a guy too. It is a beautiful and relaxed place and I cannot wait to come back... and the ice cream is incredible too! —Completely Insane, and All the Better for It

I was at the Mumford Road bus terminal yesterday at one thirty and I saw the access a bus. On that one thirty access bus was a bus driver with the awesomeness full black beard that I ever had seen. He had the eyes and the handsome face to go with his full black beard. You are amazing and I hope that you have a great day because you sure made my day a wonderful one just by seeing you. —Just Driving By

A simple message so well placed. When I pass by, I always make a point to halt the conversation and say something nice to the person next to me. —Observant Passenger

Us animals up here are enjoying the weather too, we'll try to keep it as blue as we can for you. It was tough for the last week up until October 8th, we fought off the cold and clouds to bring you lovely beings a few beautiful days, so keep smiling, respect your surroundings and spread the love and joy! —One Happy Lion Cub
