I'm not sure where you came from, or how I got so lucky, but I'm so happy we found each other. You're better than anyone I could have ever imagined. Thank you for the summer's worth of handwritten letters, for dancing with me in the kitchen at open mic, for the handmade gifts and scavenger hunt, and for making me smile every day. I'm so happy you exist and I love you like crazy. P.S. this time it's me. —Living room hula hooper

I love you, my tall, blonde, curly-haired boy, but I'm never coming back. I told you I wasn't ready to see you this week, but what I meant to say was that I will never be ready to see you. We will encounter each other through mutual friends sometimes, yes, but there will never, ever be another session of you and I. You were an awfully selfish and emotionally unavailable boyfriend. Nonetheless, I do hope you find someone to shake you out of your immaturity and haphazard ways, and I do wish you the best—sincerely. But please, just let me move on peacefully. —Bittersweet

It's too bad you didn't get to the Christmas party last week, or the show the other night... it would have been great if you did! But I was pretty happy getting to basically work with you for the whole weekend. Coming in seeing your sweet smile makes my day. I fumble my words a lot when we talk because when you look at me, my breath is taken away. I hope our friendship can blossom into something else somewhere down the road. I'm in no rush, because being your friend makes me happy too. Merry Christmas handsome! —PinkHairFool

I might be in Paris for a long time, but I think about you every day. I can't wait to come home and have extended snuggles with you and Boo again! Miss you, xoxo. —Goatface

We are so sorry we didn't get your names, but you were our heros on Sunday after we ran out of gas near Dartmouth Crossing. Not only did you rescue us and the 2 kittens in the carrier, you even took the time to find our third person who was on his way back with the gas and took all of us back to the car. So all of us wanted to "shout out " to you and how fabulous you were and say "BIG THANKS" just one more time. Karma goes around and we promise to always check on others to see if they need some assistance too. —"Gasless" with kittens

I am afraid I misjudged you... you seemed violent and cold... and the last thing I thought I would do on Saturday is end up completely submerged in you. Mind you, it took a lot of talking and for a while it seemed too much talking would put an end to the chance I'd ever feel your embrace.
In the end, you welcomed me and my friends. And I am proud to say that we did it. Although it was only a matter of seconds, the feeling of exhilaration that accompanied our plunge far outweighed the moments of fear and horrible anticipation that preceded it. I'll see YOU again New Years Day. —Newly refreshed passenger on the Polar express

After spending 6 weeks in Europe, I return home and receive a hug from a stranger outside of the Farmers Market. No better way to be welcomed home to Halifax! —Stranger outside of the Farmers market

We have parted ways at your request so that you could clear your head, I didn't agree but obliged. A couple of months have passed and we have purposely not communicated other than what was necessary. When you came over to collect some things you had left I had butterflies, and considering how you lingered for an hour chatting, I hope you felt the same way. I'm not 'holding my breath' but I am hoping that once you have your head cleared we can go for a coffee and see where we end up. I still miss you every day. —My butterflies are still alive for you

Thanks to that sweet cashier who helped us out when we didn't have enough on us by two bucks. You let us buy the things we needed and we thank you for that! Yes, the next time you are working, we will treat you to a coffee! —You're the best!
