Dad, I know that things are so far from easy right now, but I just want you to know...despite everything, I couldn't ask for a better role model. You work so hard for us every day, and I never know how to fully tell you, but I appreciate you so much. Every time she ever said something awful, we should have told you how untrue it was. I have never known anyone as brave, caring, reliable, intelligent or well humored as you. If you see any of these qualities in us- I hope you know that they came from you. It has been hard, but I'm starting to feel happy that you will have a second chance for a new, healthy relationship. I just hope that when you find her, she is respectful, honest and loves you half as much as your kids do. While we can't be together for a host of reasons I just wanted to say thanks for an amazing summer - lots of laughs and good times spent together. So... I had the pleasure of getting a tour of a certain food bank in Halifax and I was absolutely floored by the amount of work that goes into such a place. The staff along with the volunteers are the most amazing people in the world. I will be certain to do my part in helping by donating...
