I am new to this beautiful city called Halifax. From the second I arrived, I have experienced nothing but friendliness, respect, and all around LOVE from every single person I have encountered here.

Thanks Hali for being an amazing new home to me. I know everyone and everything will just keep getting better from here! Keep on lovin' Hali! —Lovin' the Lovin'

I would like to apologize to the woman in the military uniform at Tim Horton's the other day to whom I flipped the bird at after she pointed out I was driving in the out lane. I realized my mistake in mid flip, not that anyone deserves such a response, and would like to say I'm sorry... and to say thanks to you and your fellow soldiers for the job you do.

In my defense, she already had her coffee in hand, I didn't ;-) —Embarrassed

Dear tall bloke whose name I have yet to attain: I've been seeing you around, each time you're better looking then my brain's able to retain.

Saw you in the north end of town. Maybe it's just me but I think we've shared a few glances, not so sure how great my chance is.

I think you're striking and I dig your shoes, maybe you could be my muse? —A fellow NSCAD girl

I love you my snuggly kitty. It's been a long mutually happy relationship. You've recently turned 9 and I'm still amazed all the time just how loving you are.

Yes, you're a little obsessive sometimes, and have a huuuuge loud voice in the middle of the night when you want something, and you have an annoying habit of licking, and licking, and licking me - forcing me to hide under the covers sometimes at 4am... but I wouldn't change you for the world. I'm sure I drive you nuts when I'm vacuuming your favourite chair, or I forget to clean your litter box one day.

Still through big life changes, moves and different people coming in and out of your life, you've still loved me. And I'm happy to be blessed with such a sweet natured, beautiful, fat, cuddly cat.

Ya, I know the D-man can't read this, but I was thinking this last night when he crawled onto my lap - making my Monday night pretty perfect, as I laid on the couch with Jane Austen, my favourite afghan, and a bottle of wine. So, I thought I'd share. —Diamond's mama

I just wanted to send some much deserved love out there to the girl standing in line at Shoppers Drug Mart in Fairview a few weeks ago. Thanks for letting me use your phone when I couldn't find a working payphone, then for picking me up and offering me a drive, and then again for smoking a joint with me. All very kind acts and I'm sure it'll be repaid to you down the line. In the meantime I will learn from your kindness and pay-it-forward. —New in Halifax again
