I showed up at a tailor to pick up my Bridesmaid dress. It was there for 7 days. I had went in on my lunch around 1:30pm to pick it up earlier in the day and it wasn't ready... the lady working said the dress would be ready at 4:00pm (already making one trip upon my lunch I agreed to leave work early and return to pick it up at 4:30)
As I walked in I seen the dress was still in the same spot it was in earlier in the day, not hemmed yet again. I was clearly upset that after 7 days nothing had been done to the dress. If as a business you set a deadline, please honour it, or let a customer know that it's not possible so I can take my business elsewhere.
I was visibly upset, as I needed my dress that day and was on my way to the wedding rehearsal to give to another bridesmaid to get steamed. I had half an hour to catch a bus from downtown to make it to Halifax shopping center to meet up to go to the rehearsal... Andrea you were getting your dressed pinned when I walked in and seen how upset I was.
You offered to drive me to meet up with the bride. The tailor hemmed my dress in less than 15 minutes and in the end you drove me to the wedding rehearsal, outside of Halifax... you were a life saver that day. I just wanted to thank you again. so THANK YOU ANDREA!!! ( I know nothing about you other than your name really) I hope that Earl is weak this weekend so that the weddings we are in are not affected.
Sorry this is half a bitch... but mostly a love... I would have been so late for the rehearsal if wasn't for you. Thanks times a million. Your proved that Nice people are out there and I am going to pay it forward!!! —Crazy Bridesmaid

To the elderly couple walking down the street:
You both had canes, hearing aids, and thick glasses. But you also had enormous smiles and were holding hands. Thank-you for the reminder of everyday romance and the timelessness of love. —In with the old

I am so happy and grateful for everyone who comes out to the drum circles every Sunday, enjoying the tranquility of the days, the magic of the evenings, and the intensity of the nights...
Thank you so much for keeping Halifax a beautiful and free place. You are all so beautiful, inside and out, and I can't wait to see you all next week. —Serenity

To the person in the silver malibu who paid for my coffee this morning at the Tim Horton's Wyse Rd: you made my day and I want to say thanks :)
I did sleep well, got up late and started the day off bad and you turned that around for me. Have a great weekend. —Tired and Cranky no more

I must say, I really love the hippies who get together on Sundays. Every time I walk past you all on my way to and from work, it really makes me smile.
You all are so happy to be around each other, I always see you hugging and laughing and just enjoying life. Playing your drums and hula-hooping.
I don't know much about hippies, but from what I've seen, you've got your happiness figured out. One of these days I'm gonna get over my shyness and stop and join in. —Lover of the Sunday Hippies

To the nice couple that picked me up on Couburg after I missed my bus running to catch it on the hottest day of the year: I didn't get to thank you properly when I jumped out to get on at the next stop. I hope karma sent you a tub of ice filled with beer for helping me out.
If not, I'll buy you one next time I see you. —Man After Transit Traffic

Today my friend was dropping me off to meet my mother, someone VERY nice let us through into the chicken burger parking lot.
After I was picked up. My mother had to make another left leaving chicken burger, and not one, or two, but THREE people stopped in rush hour traffic to let us through.
It was really nice to realize that there are courteous people out their in the world.
Bless your hearts, and remember, next time someone has to make that annoying left turn and you're waiting at a light, let them go because its karma, and when you do good things, good things happen to you.
Thanks again friendly drivers of HRM —Left turn hater

I paid an insane amount of cash for that couch less than a year ago; but when you said you were a single mom... nostalgic thoughts of my single-father-dad and his forever recycled furniture told me to give you the couch for next to nothing.
You were so happy to get it, and that gave me such a great feeling inside!
Sometimes when I'm dying in this heat and peeling myself off the leather couch at my new apartment I like to imagine your family smiling on what was once my favourite place to pass out drunk, watch movies, and make out with people. :) —Satisfied seller

Dearest Lizzy,
You are one beautiful cat and I loved how you would run up to me whenever you were outside. Sure, you loved a lot of people on Pepperell St., but you showed so much love as to follow my roommate and I as we moved our stuff out and into cars. I will sincerely miss your little face looking in the door and you being so happy just for some scratches behind the ears.
I hope you're safe, well fed, and well loved!! —LZ

To all of you customers who take the time to ask the employees how their day has been, or make casual small talk or who are even just polite and use please, thank you etc: WE APPRECIATE YOU.
I'm being 100% honest when I say that when a customer tells me to have a good day, or says thank you, or even just shows a tinge of personality, you actually make my day that much better. —Please & thank you
