It was pouring out as I was leaving the Police Station, so I was trying to wrap my textbooks in my sweater and stuff them into my backpack so they wouldn't get too soaked. A gentleman walked into the building out of the rain, noticed my struggle, and asked if I wanted a plastic bag for my books. "Yes please!" I was so thankful to you, kind police officer. Thanks for saving my textbooks from the elements! —Hfx Citizen

We were together for 5 months but it seemed soo much longer. We were rocky from the start because our communication skills weren't upto par. Also, sending each other mixed signals really messed us up too... we broke it off way to many times for me to count but there was something about each other that made us get back together. We definitely did not end it in good terms but I just wanted to let you know. I still constantly think about you and miss you and want you back, badly. You were my escape from the real life problems, every time I was with you. You definitely made me feel alive. When we broke up for the last time, it really f*cked me up. and I am still hoping you message me and we give it another try because I think I love you. —#minionlover

To the Canada Post delivery dude who helped me get my car out of an icy conundrum: if I needed reminding about how decent folks can be, ...well, you did just that. Heave Hoh! of thanks. —Echo of kindness

Last Friday I was feeling down because of an unfortunate life circumstance. I went to the Cape Breton show at the Marquee with a pal and, while all the entertainers were fantastic, Port Cities really boosted my mood and reminded me by example what it's like to be happy and grooving again. You're all insanely talented and your music is beautiful. Your positive vibe is infectious and it really lifted my spirits. Thanks for being so upbeat and loving what you do! —The girl who didn't stay home

It started with the paramedics they were amazing! I was a nitro patient but they continued to be kind and did everything possible to help me with the pain. My nurses were wonderful the doctors were knowledgeable and kind. They were sympathetic to my situation. The recovery nurses were great always bringing warm blankets because I was always cold. Thank you to all the paramedics doctors and nurses that treated me Sunday night and yesterday. I am truly grateful to all of you! —Patient in the pink dress

To the customer who pulled me aside after hearing me being yelled at by another customer: you're a sweetheart. Out of all the people who witnessed that, you were the ONLY one who spoke up. Your kind words really meant a lot to me. Thank you. —Just Doing My Job

March 2, I chatted with a really interesting man who came in with a broken finger and frozen veggies. While my friends waited elsewhere we struck up a conversation. You were a paramedic and now a researcher and had me forgetting all about the horrible pain of the IV I needed removed. And when it came time to see the triage nurse, you insisted I go first even though your finger was a lot worse then my arm! You're such a great guy! Thank you for keeping me company and letting me go first! I would love to know how you made out with your finger. I do hope it wasn't too bad. —Xoxo IV Lady at the Dartmouth ER

To my lovely friends, you have been there for me through thick and thin. I treasure our friendship, our unique bond that holds us together and the underlying notion that we will never be alone. I love knowing that if I ever need you, all it takes is one call or message and you'll drop everything and come running. For that, I'm internally grateful. —With All the Gush and Mush

Sending good vibes to the trans man who got misgendered at Irving on Robie Street today. I'm sorry you had to go through that embarrassment and I could see you cringing as you corrected the cashier and he ignored you. Sorry for the low blow on TDoV of all days. —The trans woman who was standing beside you
