I haven't had a lot of nice days off the summer, but today was one of them. I took the opportunity to walk through the Public Gardens where I happened to notice Tinkerbell and her Pixie Hallow friend, Fawn. You two made me smile. Thanks for whatever you were doing. I know you probably made a lot of kids' days as well.

Reason number 756 why the Halifax Regional Library is great. Misplaced my debit card sat. Card does not have my name on it. Returned ( yes, overdue) books today....and an eagle eyed librarian found it stuck in the pages....and called me!!!!!!! And no, says the menopausal woman, I have no idea how it got there. It was last seen at sketchy tire/bridal store.

That Burgie record release show at Gus' was a lot of fun! We went to high school together, but I don't think I said more than five words to you in three years there. I was smart, but you seemed way more smarter. Our paths have crossed a few times since I returned to Halifax last year, usually while crossing north-endish intersections. I'm pretty sure you were checkin' me out at the show—I checked to see if you were. You've aged well, sir :)

I noticed you unsuccessfully trying to hold back tears. I would have loved to give you a hug, but alas you were working and I didn't want to make matters worse. Know that I noticed, and in that moment you were not alone. I hope you're okay.

Staff at the Halifax Central Library: not only are you helpful, cheery and knowledgeable, but you're all so damn cute. I don't mind overdue notices at all when you give me your smiles with 'em. You glow in the natural light.

you reluctantly came into my life almost three years ago, and we fell for each other, hard. you ended it a year later, and broke our hearts. you tell me you still love me, you miss me, and give me big hugs and sometimes kisses.. you even said we would chat soon about our future.. yet, nothing.
I'm just writing to say that I can't keep waiting.. I think I have to move on and give myself the love I deserve.. I need to continue the search for someone who can complement me and return the love I have for them.
I will always have a special spot for you in my heart, but I need to find someone who follows through with wanting to be with me.. not just talks about it.
