Thanks planning department of Halifax, for only consulting with the city legal team and high level staff RE a 10 year old parking rule that was never enforced until just this year. A rule no one has heard of until just now and suddenly "80 tickets in 3 hours" are being written by Parking Enforcement agents who are getting serious flak from people because they've also never heard of this rule. Not to say the rule isn't fair, because it is. The point is, no one from the city bothered to inform the public, which is entirely unaware of this rule. The rule states that no vehicle may occupy a zone (typically a block) longer than 2h, and at the end of 2h one must move their vehicle to an entirely new zone (typically, another block). One can no longer simply drive around the block and park in the same spot, or move their vehicle up a parking spot.
I hope you and the legal team receive as much 'feedback' from the public as Parking Enforcement has RE their decision to only consult with their legal team and not bother informing the public. Can municipal government be bothered to disseminate anything of use via social media? —city says chaching

To the person who took my iPod classic,
It may not have been the best time to take it, considering the only person in that room was you. You know, being staff members, I thought it would be okay to hang up my coat and put my bag away without suspicion that you would go through any of it. I hope my iPod does not work for you or to whom you are selling it to. When you or this person wants to listen to rap I hope all that plays from my iPod is soft rock. —Angry girl with no angry tunes to relate to

For all of us trying to get the must-complete errands done like putting gas in our car, Thursdays are often a busy time a the gas station ... especially if price is going to jump up again. So it would be really nice if you didn't go ahead and cut off those of us that has been waiting patiently for the last 10 minutes. Perhaps I was slower to react to the open spot because instead of having my vehicle idling for the whole 5 minutes of wait, I had shut my engine off to be more environmentally friendly. It really was not a nice thing to do. Especially when you felt the need to lecture me how to properly line up for the pump line and move quicker.
I hope karma treats you well. —Tick Tock

You talk about how pathetic it is for rappers around here over the age of 30 to be still trying to make it yet you sell Mary Jane out of your shitty little apartment, with your shitty no furniture and your shitty attitude at almost 35 years of age. You say you're an honest guy and people call you a dickhead because of it. WRONG, there's being honest and then there's just being an asshole. You go to the gym all the time, brag about your connections to dangerous people, whine about how women are all the same and complain about how no one is loyal. You are trash, you are a wanna be gangster, you are a fcckboy, you are everything that is wrong with men in general. You say people don't want to be near you until they need something? There's a reason for that.

To the asshole(s) who tag “SNES & OTELI:” if you don't stop putting throw-ups on the side of the super-cool, family-owned corner store business in my hood, this normal graf lover, enthusiast and aficionado will personally help the family track you down and get the cops after you. You've put this family through enough clean-up jobs. Find a new spot and fuck off, or find yourself talking to cops. I'm serious. Everyone I've talked to in our whole neighbourhood wants to see you busted. Go tag a bank if you have some balls. —Grrrrr

Compare the furor and hatred directed towards nurses who went on strike leading to the cancellation of 100 surgeries. There were daily updates through the media, the CEO going on news shows. And of that 100, several were cancelled in areas where nurses had said they would not go on strike, but they cancelled them anyway. Well, we are now close to 500 procedures cancelled due to poor planning and poor crisis response from the higher ups, and nobody seems to be as upset. Consider this the next time the nurses are back down at the legislature fighting for YOU. —RN Ready to Vacate NS

It seems that no matter what happens to us—be it strikes, tax hikes, the constant raising of gas prices to suit our present government—most Nova Scotians love to bitch about the high prices we pay for this and that. But when it comes to doing anything about our constantly getting screwed over by whoever in government, no one has the balls to do anything about how we the taxpayers of Nova Scotia are treated. I wonder why that is? Every time we turn around something is going up in price, but not salaries and not pensions for seniors. Taxes, gas, electricity; the main three, and man do we bitch about it. But march in the streets in protest? Hell no, that's too much to ask. If anyone noticed the news of late, the filmmakers were pissed off because they were not catching a tax break for making movies in Nova Scotia, so they took their case to the public by demonstrations and general pressures by being on the news constantly. Low and behold, our famous finance minister gave them the break they were looking for. But something so important as gas price hikes, electricity hikes and tax increases in Nova Scotia deserve far more pressure than a few filmmakers, but it gets no pressure from Nova Scotians because I am starting to think that we have no balls. I have decided for the future if someone from any other part of Canada asks me where I am from I'm going to tell them No Balls Nova Scotia. —Mysticalman4U

Thank you for getting bylaw enforcement to ticket a vehicle parked in front of a "driveway" that looks remarkably like a lawn. Karma is a bitch. —P & I

My two young children & I waited to cross the road around 9am (near uniacke) as 2 cars drove past us. The next car stopped to let us cross.. I grabbed both of their hands & told them ok now it is safe to cross. Your stupid ass took it upon yourself to take the right away when there was TWO vehicles stopped for us before you. What did you think? They stopped so you could pass ahead of them? NO ASSHOLE!! They stopped to let us pedestrians cross the road. We were just stepping out past the vehicle that stopped for us when you zoomed past in a rush without even looking. Thanks a bunch for showing my children that even though vehicles are allowing you to cross, it still ISNT SAFE! I do not appreciate the early morning heart attack. Lucky for you, the car only had a dealer plate visible. Watch where you're going prick!!
