He asked you for a smoke. You ignored him, cut in front of him and flicked your two-drag smoke to the street before your entered the store. You knew he would pick it up. He did. You both carried on with your day. It's likely you didn't give it a second thought. he likely felt a loss of self-respect. I wanted to flick you to the street and stomp you out. —Enjoy your ass voice as you age

If you think telephone poles are “beautiful” as well as functional in their natural state, well I'm sorry but you're dead wrong. The law is obsolete—although I'm sure you feel very noble tearing down artwork and lost dog postings around our fair city. Do yourself a favour: mind your own freakin' business and leave the damn posters alone. —Street walker

You think planting a few fucking trees and riding a bicycle makes you a warrior. You think dating within your gender or outside your ethnicity makes you a bad ass. It isn't enough. We all gotta bleed and sweat to make the new world happen. Feel-good rainbow parties aren't going to save us. Your ability to avoid the struggle is the mark of your privilege. —Resist to win

Why is it when I see a huge gas-guzzling monstrosity on the road, like one of those big-ass pickup trucks, there is always one lone little man driving it? We all know you're overcompensating for a small cock. You ain't foolin' no one! I'm so sick of these eyesores on the road RUINING our environment with their dual diesel exhaust, because one exhaust pipe isn't enough to pump toxic substances into our atmosphere.

This is just a list of all the things I witness multiple times a day, driving around Halifax.
Cars NOT yielding when there's yield signs at the roundabout on Larry Uteck. They're there for a reason jerks.
People cutting through parking lots in Bayers Lake. I cannot count the number of times I've almost been hit by some idiot trying to get to the lights faster than everyone else.
Civics. Yes, that's it. Honda Civics. It appears the majority of young people drive around Halifax trying to race me in a Honda Civic. I don't give a damn that you're motor sounds loud, or that your bass in your car is so loud I can't even make out the words. That does not impress a lady fellas.... That's just annoying as shit. —SoManyBadDrivers

As Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis advised, in his famous Whitney v. California opinion in 1927, "If there be time to expose through discussion the falsehood and fallacies, to avert the evil by the processes of education, the remedy to be applied is more speech, not enforced silence."
Why ban him from entry? Why not show up outside his show with your voice and a sign? Protest the shit out of this fucker.
But no - some (most?) Canadians seem content to ban speech they find offensive instead. That, I find truly frightening and much more disgusting than this vile POS.

Why does everyone around here just follow the crowd when it comes to opinions? Nova Scotia needs progress but we can't progress because people go apeshit for the common opinion! Read the actual research and evidence! Fracking would help our province's economy and has been proven to be safe. Come on people! —Sick of it

"Car-pedestrian collisions are on the rise in Halifax, soaring 70 per cent from January to September, compared to the same period last year."
I know the drivers vs cyclists and pedestrians issue is getting very tired and excessively bitched about but the latest stats in the Herald are very damning - especially for male drivers (of which I am one):
"Males — despite making up only about 48 per cent of drivers in Halifax — were behind the wheel in 68 per cent of car-pedestrian collisions."
Dudes, we (myself included) need to be more patient behind the wheel. And everyone (the gals included) needs to stop sneaking looks at their phones while driving.
For example, I thought the dude on Brunswick this morning (driving a redish brown Dodge) had passed away when we stopped at an intersection. His head fell forward immediately and for a moment or two he didn't react when the light turned green. I almost dialed 911 to get him some CPR!. But it truns out he was just messing with something on his lap. A phone perhaps? —Full of beans

man am I sick of the statement on news covers and in conversation that "there is some thing disrespectful about putting up Christmas decorations before remembrance day." Really? Is it either you are excited for the holidays or you take a moment to remember the fallen, you cannot do both. It's that black and white. The city puts up some wreaths and everyone looses there minds. Yet the military cuts and cuts services for veterans and no one says anything. It's a wreath. Soldiers don't care if there is a wreath in a store window, just if you show your support to there families at Xmas time while they are off fighting in a land where none celebrates anything.
